Taizo-in Temple
There are lots of Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines in Kyoto. Among them, Taizo-in Temple is one of my favorites. Taizo-in is a sub temple of Myoshinji Temple, Rinzai Zen Buddhism. This Japanese garden is said to be one of the masterpieces of Showa period(1926 ~1989). It looks much deeper than in reality. Every season it offers us the different beauty.

Fireworks Display
We have many fireworks displays in summer in Japan. Luckily I have a friend living in the best place to view fireworks display held in Ibaraki city, Osaka.

Zen Meditation Room and Dry Garden
This is a Japanese room for Zen meditaion in Kenninji Temple, Kyoto. Both the cusions and fresh leaves are beautiful green. And I love the black-and-white painting on the sliding doors.
This temple also has a wonderful dry garden. I think these white gravels look really sophisticated.

Fresh Green
Looks like all the new leaves have started to appear around me. This teahouse is covered with fresh green maple leaves. Just beautiful.

Bonsai of UME
These are all bonsai, potted trees of ume, Japanese plum. I took these pictures at Osaka Temmangu Shrine. As you see, there are a lot of different colors and shapes. I love their sweet scents.
