This is Mt. Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. (3776m) I took this picture at the top of another mountain near Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture. I was knocked down by its beauty.
This is part of Skywatch Friday.
It is indeed beautiful. I stayed in a hotel near mount Fuji and got up at 4:30 to see the sun rise from in the garden. I tought I would be the only one but there was already an other man with his tripod, waiting to shoot the first pictures.
Beautiful and famous mountain!
