Yellowish paper doors

This authentic Japanese room has a nice taste. The white paper sliding doors look yellowish through the light from two incandescent lamps. Lovely lamps. I took this picture in the Horino Memorial Museum, where you can experience "machiya" style architecture and the original form of a Kyoto brewery.

This is part of Mellow Yellow Monday.

  4. Very nice, those lamps. The soft glow. These doors are very special but I am I a liitle bit afraid: it is noisy? If I tell you a little secret others at the other side of the door cant hear what I say :-) Or not?

    1. Hi Jedidja
Yes, exactly! Other people at the other side can hear you. The time of No privacy!

  5. Lovely! The way the Japanese use paper is wonderful and has always fascinated me. I love all sorts of paper - to write on, draw on, paint on and to use in crafts.
