Kids Celebration


This three-year-old girl is taken to a Shinto Shrine to celebrate her growth by her parents. The main date is November 15th, but many families come on earlier weekend. I took this picture at the Kasuga Grand Shrine the other day.
This celebration is called 'Shichi-go-san  (Seven-five-three Festival)'. To know more about this Japanese tradition, please consult the last year's post.
