Terraced Paddy Fields
Today I drove to see terraced paddy fields in Chihaya-akasaka village, the southern end of Osaka Prefecture. Completely different from other places in Osaka, I can feel the tranquil landscape. In autumn, this green color will change into golden harvest color. I'm sure I must come back then.

Flower on Cheek
Look at this pretty flower on the cheek!
This is today's Koharu. She is fed partly to get enough milk. She can drink milk, of course, but for her heart to breathe and suckle at the same time is a hard work now. When she drinks, her head soon gets sweaty, which is a typical symptom.
She likes to sit in this way and looks happy to see her mother (my daughter).

Canna
I've been busy to help my daughter's family. But I found that I feel more energetic now than before. I can say to do something for my family gives me kind of satisfaction. Now my granddaughter is getting better.(she has a heart problem) She smiles and watches her hand with her wondering eyes. However, to maintain her good condition until the heart surgery in August, she has to stay in the hospital. Hopefully, she can go back home in a month after the successful surgery.

Japanese-style Pizza
This is Hiroshima Okonomiyaki, Japanese-style pizza. It is so popular in Hiroshima that in the station building there is a food mall mainly for Okonomiyaki restaurants.

Delightful Reflection
I found the corridor of the pediatric ward of the Sakai City Hospital where my granddaughter is hospitalized now is decorated with many paintings, stickers and others to cheer up inpatient children and their families. They are really beautiful and heart-warming. This window decoration is one of them.
Thank you so much for giving me your encouraging messages. I am deeply grateful for you. I understand Koharu's heart failure is repairable by the coming surgery.

In the Hospital
I have two grandchildren, Rintaro and Koharu. This is Koharu. She is three months old and has a heart problem. Now she has been in the hospital for four days. She needs to have a surgery in near future.
This summer I go to the hospital to help my daughter or sometimes go to see Rintaro to encourage him. He must be lonely without Mother and Sister. But now he looks good with Father.
I wish Koharu will get well soon and go back to her home.

End of the Lane
At the end of the lane, you see a popular pork cutlet restaurant, Katsukura. You see a lot of narrow alleys like this in Kyoto.
The rainy season was over in Kansai including Osaka and Kyoto, and hot and humid summer has really come.

Floral Friday Fotos
This is my first artichoke. It's not a familiar plant in Japan, I think. I found this in the Nunobiki Herb Garden in Kobe. I was fascinated with its bright color and its big size (20 cm). And now I've just googled about it and found it is a popular vegetable. Incredible! I hope to try some in the future somewhere.

Water World Wednesday
This is Motoyasu River in Hiroshima. People are enjoying in a boat. I wonder how they are controlling it.

Ruby Tuesday
These are formal foot gears of the wedding attendees. I was happy to find a traditional Shinto-style wedding ceremony at the Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima last week.

Bamboo Blinds
This is a public bathhouse in somewhere in Kyoto. I took this picture one year ago and forgot where it is. Today I can see many three-story houses in my town Osaka, but this old bathhouse in such a big size looks special to me. Plus yellow bamboo blinds are my favorite.
