Round and Round

Yesterday I went to Osaka Castle to know the blooming of Japanese plum, UME. Some kinds have already started, but only small numbers. Maybe I need to wait two more weeks.
However, I found these birds flying round and round in the castle moat. Twenty to thirty seagulls were flying around one middle-aged man. He was feeding them some bread.

Look at the eyes of the birds (please click this picture to enlarge). They are carefully watching the man's hand.
And after flying many rounds, only lucky birds can get some bread like below.

This is part of Our World Tuesday.

  2. Hi Annie, with us here are all the lakes frozen over and the animals then hunger, we often buy bread run to the lake and feed them, it's only 100 meters to go

  6. Beautiful photos, gulls are extremely clever birds who know exactly where to fly.

  7. This brought back the memory of my daughter when she was about 5 feeding seagulls from the car window...one of them was missing an eye and bit her finger tip!
She was not hurt badly, thank God!
Love your beautiful photos and your culture...~God bless~

  8. The seagulls look so clean and white against the gray stone and water, and you really got some wonderful action shots! Especially that last one of that highly skilled (or really lucky?) gull catching that bread in mid-air. I think the gull right behind him was closely studying his technique! :-)
