Mellow Yellow Monday ...Sun Child

This 6.2-meter-statue is called 'Sun Child', which was created by Kenji Yanobe  in 2011. Now it is standing near the Hankyu Minami-Ibaraki station in Osaka.

This boy in a yellow protective suit has the sun in his right hand and is looking forward for the future with determination. It gives a big hope and dream to those who are struggling for recovery after last year's big earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

I was impressed by his strong expression even though he is hurt.

This is part of Mellow Yellow Monday.
